The England captaincy debate is having no adverse effect on John Terry, according to his Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba.
Blues skipper Terry could lead England out in their European Championship qualifier against Wales a week on Saturday, despite having been stripped of the armband just over a year ago by manager Fabio Capello over controversy in his personal life.
Capello is yet to confirm whether the centre-back will don the armband at the Millennium Stadium with Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard ruled out by injury, or whether he would resume the role permanently, but Drogba insists Terry is unconcerned by the confusion.
"Yeah, yeah, he's OK," said the striker, who has backed Terry to regain the captaincy.
"He's a great captain and he's the main leader in the (Chelsea) dressing room.
"So for him to be captain for the English national team, I think it's normal. There's nothing really big about it."
Responsibility
Terry, capped 65 times for England, has made no secret of the fact he loved leading his country.
And Drogba feels the national side would be in safe hands if the 30-year-old were reinstated.
He added: "He loves responsibility, he loves pressure and that's the signature of big players.
"I know that when he's the captain, when he's representing his team, his national team, he's been brilliant."
