Coventry City have ruled out allowing striker Clive Platt to join Norwich City on loan before Thursday's deadline.
Reports had claimed that Platt was set to link up with Norwich for the rest of the season to boost Paul Lambert's attacking options.
However, Coventry's caretaker manager Andy Thorn admits he cannot afford to lose Platt from his injury-hit squad at the Ricoh Arena.
"He's going nowhere," Thorn told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.
"We are absolutely down to the bare bones and cannot afford to let anyone out at this stage of the season."
Platt joined Coventry last summer from Colchester United and has scored three goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.
The 33-year-old played under Canaries boss Lambert at Colchester and the promotion hopefuls had turned to Platt after failing to agree a deal for Peterborough's Craig Mackail-Smith.
