James Milner insists he does not regret joining Manchester City, despite failing to make the expected impact.
The Blues dug deep to acquire the England international last summer, with £26million paid to Aston Villa in order to land his signature.
Roberto Mancini felt the versatile 25-year-old would bring much-needed industry and discipline to his squad, while also providing cover in a variety of positions.
Milner has, however, seen his time at Eastlands disrupted by niggling knocks, restricting him to appearances in just over half of City's games this season.
He acknowledges that he is yet to find his feet with the ambitious Blues, but is adamant that he made the right decision in joining the Eastlands revolution.
"Definitely," he said. "I moved to the club to win trophies and play in the Champions League and we're still on course for that.
"We are also in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. I am delighted with that.
"We didn't get too caught in all the 'can you win the league' talk.
"It is always tough moving teams but I am feeling more at home the longer I am there."
Mentality
City have slipped out of the Premier League title race over recent weeks, much to their disappointment, but Milner is confident the club will soon be challenging for the most coveted prize in English football.
"No team has been on fire this season," he said.
"Chelsea had a great start, then struggled. Manchester United have somehow kept winning games without playing well.
"We have to get that mentality.
"It is going to take time. There have been so many changes. You have to get that bond and learn how to play with each other. We have played well in spells but not in others.
"However, we have the biggest scope to improve out of any team in the league. I think we will do that and continue to get better."
