Dutch goalkeeper considering options

Maarten Stekelenburg's agent has confirmed to the Italian media that he is looking to move this summer. The Ajax number one, who is currently sidelined with a broken thumb, has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United to replace fellow countryman Edwin van der Sar. Stekelenburg has also been linked with Juventus and his agent Rob Jansen admits they would be of interest to him. Current Juve keeper Gianluigi Buffon is said to be considering a move away from Turin in the summer, and now Stekelenburg could be the man to step in as the last line of defence for the Serie A side. "We are looking for an important club for next season, therefore Juventus are a serious candidate," Jansen told Calcio Mercato. "Up until now there hasn't been any contact with Beppe Marotta and the other Juventus directors."
