'Never a dull moment' at West Ham says skipper

Matthew Upson admits he enjoys the "drama and passion" of the relegation fight and believes survival will signify a successful campaign for West Ham. The Hammers have enjoyed a rich vein of form of late with one defeat in their last six Premier League outings taking them out of the relegation zone. Upson, in his fourth year with the club, believes the worst of West Ham's season is behind them having spent the majority of the campaign in the bottom three. League leaders Manchester United travel to Upton Park on Saturday afternoon and the Hammers captain is prepared for another chapter in an exciting relegation scrap. "We've had to deal with a lot this season and, if you're not careful, that can get on top of morale," Upson told the Sun. "But the lads seem more organised now and seem to have shaken it off. "I don't want a boring season ever and there's never a dull moment here. At least if you're at the bottom of the table there's a bit of drama and passion. "I realise fans are probably pulling their hair out but I do want success which, this season, means staying up. "It's a rollercoaster here but I've loved it right from the start."
