Espanyol insist they are yet to receive any formal offers for Premier League target Pablo Osvaldo.

Spaniards waiting until end of season to determine striker's future

Espanyol have revealed they are yet to receive any formal offers for Premier League target Pablo Osvaldo. The Italian-Argentinian striker, who reportedly attracted bids from Blackburn and Wigan in the January transfer window, has been linked with a move to Fulham and other English clubs in the summer. But Primera Liga outfit Espanyol claim, while they have received interest in the 25-year-old, there have been no concrete offers tabled for his signature. A club source told skysports.com: "We have received calls and contacts but at this moment there is no formal proposition on the table. "Osvaldo is an important footballer for us and only a big offer could change our decision. "We will study his situation at the end of the season."
Problems
Cash-stricken Espanyol have set a fixed price for Osvaldo of €15million (around £13m), which would help to ease their financial problems. The hitman only arrived at the Blanquiblaus last year from Serie A side Bologna, penning a five-year deal. Osvaldo, who joined Espanyol for a fee of €5million (£4.5m), has also attracted interest from clubs in Spain and Italy.
