Bayern Munich goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt has signed a one-year contract extension, but Thomas Kraft will leave the club at the end of the season. Butt was due to be out of contract at the Allianz Arena in the summer, but has accepted an offer to be part of new coach Jupp Heynckes' plans next season. He is likely to be providing the back-up on the bench as Bayern are hoping to agree a deal to sign Schalke's Germany No.1 Manuel Neuer. "Jorg Butt is a first-class goalkeeper and I am very happy that he will stay with us for another year," said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. However, Bayern will allow Kraft to move on after the 22-year-old was replaced in the team by Butt following the recent departure of coach Louis van Gaal. Reports suggest Kraft is in talks with Hertha Berlin, who have won promotion back to the Bundesliga for next season. Bayern's director of sport Christian Nerlinger said: "Thomas Kraft's goal is to be first-choice goalkeeper and we can't guarantee that. "We wish him all the best for his future."
