Schneiderlin hopes teenage sensation will stay

Southampton face a battle to keep hold of rising star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer, according to team-mate Morgan Schneiderlin. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed in January that he was interested in the teenage sensation, while Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked with a bid. Chamberlain has enjoyed a superb season in helping Southampton to League One promotion, but Schneiderlin fears that the team could lose their star before their new Championship campaign. "Hopefully Alex will stay with us, but it's going to be very difficult because every team wants him," said the midfielder in The Sun. "It will be the chairman and the management staff's job to keep him, but it's up to Alex and what he wants. "We want the best team to get back into the Premier League and Alex is one of the best players."
