Motherwell skipper signs one-year contract

Motherwell captain Stephen Craigan has signed a one-year contract extension. The 34-year-old was offered a new deal by manager Stuart McCall after taking his club appearances beyond the 350-mark during his testimonial season. Motherwell revealed last week that the Northern Ireland international had been presented with a contract offer along with midfielder Steve Jennings, who is tipped to sign following his holiday. Craigan started his career with Motherwell as a teenager before joining Partick Thistle in 2000. He returned to Fir Park three years later and has been a senior member of the squad ever since.
