AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says Cesc Fabregas will 'join a different club' as the Arsenal captain continues to be linked with a return to Barcelona.
Italian champions Milan have previously been among the clubs to be linked with a summer move to sign Fabregas, whose future at Emirates Stadium is uncertain.
Reports have claimed that the Gunners are willing to sell the midfielder once their valuation is met, with Barca rumoured to be ready to offer £35million to bring the Spain international back to Camp Nou.
Fabregas revealed on Wednesday that he is 'calm and optimistic' regarding the speculation, which refuses to go away.
Though Galliani was unable to say which club Fabregas will be joining, he confirmed the 24-year-old will not be heading to the San Siro.
"Fabregas will not join us because he will join a different club," Galliani told the club's
official website.
Milan have been linked with several summer signings to improve their midfield options, including Napoli star Marek Hamsik.
However, Galliani also scotched suggestions that the Rossoneri will be trying to bring the Slovakia international to the club.
He added: "There is zero possibility that Milan will make an irrefutable offer for Hamsik that will surprise (Napoli president Aurelio) De Laurentiis.
Galliani also ruled out a return to Milan for Real Madrid playmaker Kaka, saying: "There is zero chance of Kaka."
