Italian giants reported to lining up bumper bid for Belgian ace

Inter Milan are believed to be lining up a bid for Lille star Eden Hazard. The 20-year-old midfield ace was named Ligue 1's player of the year after helping Lille win the French title. The Belgium international had already been attracting interest from across Europe, with Bayern Munich making an offer in the winter transfer window which was immediately rejected. Chelsea have also made enquiries while Lille's domestic rivals Paris St Germain are the latest club to be linked with Hazard.

Not for sale

Lille officials maintain he is not for sale, with coach Rudi Garcia saying last week that he believes Hazard is not looking to leave. But French newspaper L'Equipe has reported that Inter have recently contacted the player's representatives about a potential move to Italy. It would take a big offer to tempt Lille to part with their prized asset, not least because he is under contract until 2015. And it is thought Les Dogues would only consider bids in excess of €40million (£36m).
