Young striker moves to London Road from Old Trafford

Peterborough have added their third player of the week from Manchester United with the arrival of striker Nicky Ajose on a four-year deal. Ajose had a successful loan stint with Bury last season but will now make the step up to the Championship after signing for an undisclosed fee in a move first revealed by skysports.com. Posh had signed Ryan Tunnicliffe and Scott Wootton on loan from Old Trafford earlier in the week. Boss Darren Ferguson, son of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, said: "Nicky has good pace, is two-footed and a very good finisher. "He has a lot of potential, has good pedigree and was successful during his loan spell with Bury last season, scoring a lot of goals in League Two. "Craig Mackail-Smith has left and I am not going to be putting any pressure on the lad to be the replacement or anything like that, but he has that pace, he plays on the shoulder and he can also link play. "He can play wide if we went to a three up top and I believe he is very good signing for the club."
