Torres confirms approaches for Montoya and Bojan snubbed

Getafe president Angel Torres has revealed that Barcelona turned down their offers for talented youngsters Martin Montoya and Bojan Krkic. Getafe had a €10million bid for Spain international striker Bojan, 20, rejected with the forward agreeing terms to join Italian giants Roma. Spain Under-21 international Montoya, 20, was also on Getafe's wanted list but Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola said he wanted the right-back for next season. "We spoke with Barcelona about Bojan and (Martin) Montoya," Torres said in AS. "We offered 10 million euros for Bojan but he has already agreed to join Roma. "We also asked about a possible loan deal or permanent switch for Montoya but (Pep) Guardiola said he wanted him for the first team."
