Blackburn boss feels time may be right for forward to leave

Blackburn manager Steve Kean has admitted it is probably time for El Hadji Diouf to leave the club this summer, although he will wait to see the level of interest in the Senegal forward. Diouf failed to report for pre-season training and earned a fine of two weeks' wages last week, and it now appears he has played his last game for Blackburn. Kean is not sure which clubs might be keen to sign Diouf, who has been left out of the pre-season trip to Hong Kong. "I think it's probably the time for El Hadji," Kean told Sky Sports News. "But it will depend on who is interested. "It depends on what happens with the offers that come in." Meanwhile, Kean stated that he was hopeful a new deal will be agreed with fellow striker Benjani. Benjani had been unhappy with an initial offer from the club but talks have resumed and Kean would like him to stay. "It was a bit of a breakdown in communications," Kean said. "But I've spoken to him now and hopefully we'll have a new offer we can go forward with."
