Algerian ace poised to join Qatari club

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has confirmed the club have agreed to sell Madjid Bougherra to Lekhwiya for £1.7million. Bougherra revealed talks with the Qatari side were underway earlier this week and he is now poised to complete his move. The Algeria international has spent three years with Gers, but sadly his last act for the club was being sent off in their midweek draw at Malmo. McCoist insists the deal is not far from being completed and he has confirmed the defender will play no part against Chelsea this weekend. "A fee has been agreed with the Qatar club in the region of £1.7million," confirmed McCoist. "There are just bits and pieces to be tied up there. I think that deal is just about done. He won't be playing against Chelsea."
