Manchester United full-back will miss out on France game

Patrice Evra will miss France's friendly against Chile on Wednesday after he was ruled out by a knee injury. The 30-year-old sustained the knock during Sunday's showpiece Community Shield game at Wembley against Manchester City, while playing for Manchester United. Evra failed to train with the rest of Laurent Blanc's squad on Monday and the Les Bleus medical team have now decided he should not play. Blanc has now drafted in Gael Clichy as his replacement for the game against the South Americans. Clichy, 26, has won 10 senior caps for France and last played for his country in their friendly against Croatia earlier this year in March.
