Chelsea boss has high hopes for McEachran

Chelsea's new manager Andre Villas-Boas believes youngster Josh McEachran has a big future ahead of him in the game. Rising talent McEachran made 17 appearances for the Premier League giants last season and is still only 18-years-old. Villas-Boas accepts the teenager only has a slight frame, although the likes of Luka Modric, Jack Wilshere and Samir Nasri all thrive without having imposing physiques. The Portuguese boss believes McEachran's speed of thought is one of his best attributes and that makes his a long-term asset for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Talent

"This is a youngster with so much talent," commented Villas-Boas on McEachran. "Physique-wise, there is nothing to him at the moment. "In the changing room you see him getting ready to go and train and he looks nothing like a footballer. His power and pace is in his head. "But you could say the same about Luka Modric, Jack Wilshere or Samir Nasri. All are built with slight physiques but they are all among the finest midfield players in the world. "Josh is going that way. His brain is always five yards ahead of the rest. I see in him very much as part of the future of this club."
