Rangers' young striker Kane Hemmings is expecting to be out until Christmas as he needs another knee operation. The 20-year-old broke into manager Ally McCoist's first team this season having come off the bench in their UEFA Champions League qualifier with Malmo. However, Hemmings' knee issues have struck again having been hindered by them in recent season as he required a fresh operation.

The youngster is disappointed at the blow and believes he could be on the sidelines for up to 12 weeks. "Bad news for me, need another op on my knee so going to be out for a while again," he wrote on his Twitter account. "I'm out for two to four months I reckon so Christmas is the target."
