Leeds boss Simon Grayson is considering appealing Aidan White's in Saturday's 2-1 Championship defeat at Ipswich.

Whites boss may appeal against defender's red card

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson is considering appealing Aidan White's in Saturday's 2-1 Championship defeat at Ipswich. The defender was shown a straight red card by referee Andy D'Urso after he was adjudged to have committed a professional foul on Town's Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, who was clean through on goal. The Whites may argue there was a push on White in the build-up to the incident and are poised to study video footage before deciding what action to take.

Initial contact

"I would think we'd have a look at it," remarked Grayson. "There's no getting away from that fact that I've seen it and it's a free-kick on Aidy White to start with. "As him and Emmanuel-Thomas are running through, Emmanuel-Thomas has nudged him in the back and that's why Aidy brought him down. That one decision changed everything because we weren't in any danger of losing the game." White will miss Leeds' next game at home to Crystal Palace in the Championship on 10th September if the punishment is upheld.
