Former Premier League defender ready for new challenge
Pascal Chimbonda will sign a short-term deal with Doncaster subject to a medical and approval from the Football League.
The 32-year-old has been without a club since he was released by Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season.
Dean Saunders, Doncaster's new manager, is rebuilding the team and has snared the French full-back on a contract until January.
Chimbonda played for a second string Rovers team as they beat Chesterfield 3-2 on Wednesday and will hope his inclusion can propel Doncaster from the foot of the Championship.
The Guadelope-born defender has previously played for Wigan, Tottenham, Sunderland and Blackburn.
