Paris St Germain midfielder Nene has revealed he is prepared to switch nationalities in order to play at the 2014 World Cup.
The 30-year-old Brazilian represented his country at junior level but has never played for the senior side.
The former Monaco and Mallorca star is desperate to play at the World Cup in his home country in 2014 but admits he may not be able to force his way into the Brazil team.
Therefore, the 30-year-old is prepared to switch nationalities and hope his fine form for PSG will earn him a place in the France team instead.
Fifa used to impose an age limit of 21 for switching nationalities but that was removed in 2009 meaning Nene, who also holds a Spanish passport, could change countries to realise his World Cup dream.
"I will give everything I can to play for Brazil at the 2014 World Cup," Nene told RMC.
"But if I see I can't make it with Brazil, I will think about the French national team. It should not be a problem. I have dual nationality and I hope I will soon have triple nationality."
