Striker decides to wait before committing himself

Markus Rosenberg has been offered a contract extension by Werder Bremen but he has yet to decide on whether to agree to the deal. The 29-year-old forward's current deal with the German side runs out at the end of the season and he would be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January. Werder want to keep Rosenberg beyond next summer but the Sweden international's agent says that he and his client are not in a rush to agree to the new terms. "Werder Bremen want to extend Markus' contract but we have opted to wait," Martin Dahlin told Fotbolldirekt.se. Rosenberg joined Werder from Dutch giants Ajax in 2007 and played the 2010/11 season on loan at Spanish outfit Racing Santander.
