Striker hopes for change of fortune

Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni believes luck has deserted them so far this season. Rovers were denied a crucial win on Saturday at Norwich as Grant Holt's controversial last-gasp penalty earned the home side a 3-3 draw at Carrow Road. Yakubu felt luck was not on Blackburn's side at Norwich and he admits the draw felt like a defeat after seeing two points slip from their grasp. "Yes, we deserved more," said Yakubu. "When we scored to go 3-1 up, we thought we had three points in our hands. But we didn't get them. "We felt a little bit bad but what can we do? We need to go back to training and work really hard to get ready for Chelsea.

Unlucky

"We've been unlucky all season, and now we have another deflection and cruel penalty to prove it. But we have to believe our luck will change and our season will start again when it does. "The protests at our last home games make no difference - as players, you have to deal with pressure home and away, and at the moment the league table doesn't look very good, but hopefully we will be fine. "After we lost against Tottenham last week, Harry Redknapp said we looked like a team pulling for their manager and it was the same thing here - we stuck together."
