Hoffenheim have agreed a deal with second-tier outfit TSV Munich 1860 over the immediate future of Kevin Volland.

Forward will not return to Hoffenheim in January

Hoffenheim have agreed a deal with second-tier outfit TSV Munich 1860 over the immediate future of Germany youth international Kevin Volland. The forward is under contract with Hoffenheim until the summer of 2015, but he has been on loan at Munich ever since he was sold to the top-flight club in January 2011. Hoffenheim had the option to request Volland's return this January, but have decided against the recall. Hoffenheim general manager Ernst Tanner said: "Looking at all circumstances and considering every fact, we have decided to allow Kevin Volland to remain at TSV Munich 1860 until the end of the season. "Kevin has been going through strong progress at Munich and he is sure to continue this. We are convinced about this."
