Vitesse Arnhem have enquired over the possibility of signing midfielder Ruud Vormer, Roda JC have confirmed.
The 23-year-old, who joined Roda from AZ Alkmaar in 2008, is out of contract in Kerkrade at the end of the season.
He had previously been linked with Feyenoord, with reports suggesting he had already signed a contract with the Rotterdammers.
But Roda technical director Gerard Wielaert insists he is yet to agree a deal with another club, while also revealing Vitesse's interest.

"Vitesse wanted to know what Ruud's situation was and whether he, as reported, had already signed with Feyenoord," Wielaert told
De Telegraaf.
"I have asked Ruud and he says there is nothing to that, which I reported back to Vitesse."
Vormer's agent Winnie Haatrecht says the defensive midfielder is open to a move to Arnhem.
"I know that Vitesse are interested," he added. "Once we have Roda's consent, we'll talk to the club."
