Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton claims he has ended his dispute with former club Newcastle United.
The 29-year-old had been threatened with legal action after another rant against the North East outfit; this time regarding a bonus proposal during his time at St James' Park.
Toon boss Alan Pardew had expressed his frustrations over Barton's latest comments, saying "Why does he keep cropping up?"

Tweeted on Friday morning: "Pardew's a good man and manager, I agree with what he has said. Time to keep my peace."
Barton made 81 appearances for Newcastle before leaving for London in the summer and has had an acrimonious relationship with his former club and owner Mike Ashley since then.
Perspective
Pardew said: "From my point of view, the only focus I have had as the manager of this football club is the team, and it's the team that's doing exceptionally well.
"Unfortunately, Joey's comments take away the positive nature of what we are doing here in terms of the players' performances, which have been absolutely brilliant.
"Anybody who takes that limelight away from my players, I'm not particularly keen on, if I'm honest.
"It is a bit frustrating, but you have got to put it into the perspective of the week we are having, and it means nothing, really."
