West Brom boss Roy Hodgson has challenged his players to turn performances into points - starting at QPR on Saturday.
The Baggies go into the clash at Loftus Road sitting in 14th in the table, with 14 points from their opening 13 games.
Hodgson, who is seeking to keep the Baggies in the top flight for a second successive season, is facing Neil Warnock - who turned 63 on Thursday - for the first time in a competitive fixture.
The 64-year-old insists age is no barrier to management and he is focusing on getting the points over the busy next few weeks.
He told the
Daily Star: "Age is of no consequence if you've still got the passion.
"When Neil gets to 66, he will say he's got another few years left, I'm sure!
"He did very well the last time he was in the Premier League and was unlucky to get relegated with Sheffield United.
"This is the start of a potentially pivotal stage of the season for us and it's now a question of us turning performances into points."
Transfer targets
To help his plans, Hodgson is eyeing moving on some fringe players at the Hawthorns, while also recruiting others, with Man City defender Nedum Onuoha thought to be a loan target.
He added: "I've had a meeting with the chairman and (sporting and technical director) Dan Ashworth to discuss what we will do in January.
"I'm pretty sure the club will do its best - that if there's any players we do need, we'll be able to do it within the parameters we work in.
"We won't be putting in a bid for Sergio Aguero, though, that's for sure. All clubs in January will have something of a change around.
"There are players who start the season looking to get into the team - and when they don't, they get a bit disenchanted and want to move on.
"If that happens to us, we will be looking to replace them.
"For the last few weeks, we've had as many as 25 players training and you could argue we don't need that size of squad.
"Where we need our strength is the 18-man squad."
