Young defender set for reward of new long-term contract
Kilmarnock are set to hand a new long-term contract to defensive starlet Alex Pursehouse, skysports.com understands.
The 19-year-old moved to Rugby Park in the summer from English League One outfit Tranmere Rovers.
He initially joined Killie's youth set-up but was quickly accelerated into the first-team squad under Kenny Shiels.
The full-back, who can also play centre-half, is now set to be rewarded for his form with a new deal.
The club look ready to offer him a three-and-half-year deal, and Pursehouse is now set to commit his long-term future to the Ayrshire outfit.
