Burnley's Charlie Austin is ready to compete for a first-team place and insists there is no rivalry between the club¿s strikers.
Forward praises fellow strikers
Fit-again Burnley striker Charlie Austin is looking forward to competing for a first-team place and insists there is no rivalry between the club's forwards.
The 22-year-old was the Clarets' top scorer when he dislocated his shoulder during a home game against Leeds in November.
While he has been battling his way back to fitness the former Swindon forward has seen Jay Rodriquez overtake him in the scoring charts, while Sam Vokes has arrived on-loan from Wolves and Martin Paterson is also fit again after an extended injury lay-off.
Austin though was quick to dismiss talk of a rivalry between the forwards, instead revealing that they are a backing each other to succeed.
"With competition you always learn off players, especially as a goalscorer," said Austin, who is eyeing a starting spot for the game with Doncaster on Boxing Day after two recent substitute appearances.
"Everyone says all this but there's no rivalry between anyone. Everyone backs each other 100% and whenever anyone is out there they get the full backing."
"Pato is a goalscorer, Jay's got all sorts and Vokesy's just a big strong unit, so you learn off everyone everyday."
