Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has quelled speculation Robert Snodgrass has broken off contract talks.
It had been suggested the Scotland international pulled out of negotiations due to the impending sale of captain Jonathan Howson to Norwich.
Leeds rejected an offer from the Canaries for Snodgrass last summer and Grayson has revealed there have not been talks with the winger since.
The 24-year-old is tied to the Elland Road club until 2014 and the Whites boss insists the West Yorkshire side remain in a 'good' position.

"His contract talks have not got going since the summer," Grayson told the
Yorkshire Evening Post.
"We turned down a bid from Norwich and both parties agreed then that we would leave it until it suits us both. It's not as if we've got round the table in the last 10 days and things have stalled.
"There've been no negotiations for four to five months and that was agreed in the summer. He still has 18 months on his contract so we're in a good position. We'd like to keep him longer, which is why we offered a new contract, and when you turn down a fee from another club it's courtesy to offer a new deal.
"We didn't have to do that in the summer and that's why we've left it. Whoever's come up with the story saying talks have broken down is talking rubbish."
Meanwhile, Grayson insists Leeds are working hard behind the scenes trying to bring in new faces: "Hopefully we can bring more players in and people will see we're being positive about a situation which hasn't been too good over the last few days."
