England U21 star pulled out of game against Millwall

Sky Sports sources understand Bolton Wanderers are closing in on the £4million signing of Watford star Marvin Sordell. A fee has been agreed between the two clubs for the highly-rated England Under 21 striker and talks are set to take place. Sordell was pulled out of Tuesday night's Championship game against Millwall, reportedly at the request of Watford owner Laurence Bassini, in order to participate in discussions. The 20-year-old was earlier in January also linked with Fulham, but Martin Jol's club appear to have turned their attention to Bobby Zamora and Pavel Pogrebnyak. Bolton are now in a race against time to complete the deal before Tuesday's 11pm transfer deadline. Wanderers earlier on Tuesday completed the loan signing of midfielder Ryo Miyaichi from Arsenal, while they have unsuccessfully bid for Middlesbrough's Rhys Williams.
