Championship leaders snap up Morrison and Vaz Te

West Ham have completed the double signing of Manchester United youngster Ravel Morrison and Ricardo Vaz Te from Barnsley. Several clubs, including Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona, Roma and Paris St Germain, had been linked with midfielder Morrison but the Hammers have clinched his signature. The 18-year-old, whose Old Trafford contract was due to expire at the end of the season, has reportedly penned a three-and-a-half year deal at Upton Park. Vaz Te, meanwhile, joins the Championship leaders having scored 10 goals for Barnsley this season. The 25-year-old Portuguese striker, who was due to be out of contract at Oakwell in the summer, has previously worked under Sam Allardyce after the Hammers boss brought him to England while in charge of Bolton. He told Sky Sports News: "I worked with (Sam Allardyce) before. He knows everything about me. "I didn't need much (persuading to join). Obviously West Ham are top of the league and they're doing ever so well. "It's a great opportunity for me. I'm still improving."
