England and Scotland want Hull City winger

England and Scotland are set to lock horns over Hull City winger Cameron Stewart, Sky Sports understands. The former Manchester United youngster has been hugely impressive since switching to the KC Stadium last season. His former boss Nigel Pearson failed with a £1.5million bid to re-sign him for his new club Leicester in January, but The Tigers stood firm as they have huge regard for 20-year-old. Stewart has long been part of England's youth set-up, playing for his country from Under-17 to Under-20s thus far. England Under-21s are now also keen on Stewart, which is little surprise given the first-team coach at Hull City, Steve Wigley, also works within the international set-up.

But Scotland have been alerted to Stewart's availability and are ready to draft him straight into their first-team squad after coach Craig Levein revealed his admiration for the player. "Cameron is very flattered to be linked with an international call-up but it's just speculation at the moment" his agent Peter Morrison told Sky Sports. "Cameron has previously been part of England's youth set-up, which he was obviously very proud of. "But at the moment his only focus is Hull City's bid for promotion and if a decision needs to be made regarding his international future he will cross that bridge when he comes to it."
