QPR defender Anton Ferdinand insists the players still believe the club can stay in the Premier League.
The Hoops are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference with 12 games remaining in the current campaign.
Manager Mark Hughes was brought in to replace the sacked Neil Warnock last month in an attempt to lift the side into the safety of mid-table.
Despite investing heavily in new signings during the January transfer window, Rangers have won just one of Hughes' six games in charge and lost to relegation rivals Blackburn and Wolves in successive matches.
However, Ferdinand, who joined the club from Sunderland last summer, insists the players are confident of picking up the points required in their remaining matches to ensure safety.
"It's crucial that we retain our Premier League status so that the hard work of the last four years doesn't go to waste - it has been all season, not just these last 12 games," the 27-year-old told the club's
official website.
Confidence
"To get out of that situation will take hard work, but I have every confidence in my team-mates, the manager and coaching staff that we will.
"We're enjoying working hard and looking forward to our next game against Everton. They present another tough test - but every game is a tough one in the Premier League.
"They're a very experienced team with a number of top players, but we've got players in our side that can unlock doors. Hopefully we'll see that on Saturday.
"If I wasn't confident there'd be no point in me going on the pitch.
"I am confident we can do well - and that goes for every single one of my team-mates."
