Hutton forced off against Arsenal due to injury concerns

Alex McLeish has confirmed Aston Villa winger Charles N'Zogbia is to visit a specialist after suffering a knee injury in training. The 25-year-old missed Villa's 3-0 defeat at Arsenal on Saturday after picking up the knock two days earlier and he is set to travel to Paris for an assessment. N'Zogbia has endured a difficult debut season at Villa, but McLeish has been pleased with the former Wigan wide-man's form in recent weeks. "The long-term diagnosis is that Charles is going to go to Paris to see a specialist," McLeish told the club's official website. "The doctor is taking him and they will look at the knee. "He has got a ligament strain from a clash of knees with Gary Gardner in training two days ago. "It was a blow to lose Charles. He was in decent form and getting better with every game."

Complaining

Alan Hutton is another fitness concern for McLeish after the full-back was replaced against Arsenal due to a calf injury, which followed on from a heel complaint. McLeish added: "He had an injection this morning because he has been struggling with his heel. "I hope it is not too bad but he was actually complaining about his calf when he came off. "We can't afford to be without any more experienced players because that was down to the last 11 that you saw today. The rest of them were injured and we had six young players on the bench."
