Leyton Orient's on-loan winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce hopes that his recent performances have resurrected his career back at Bristol City.
The Jamaican international has found first-team opportunities limited at Ashton Gate since Derek McInnes took charge in October, starting just two games.
However, the 29-year-old has finished the season strongly by helping Leyton Orient in their quest to avoid relegation in League One.
The former Barnsley wide-man has enjoyed a similar spell with the O's during the early stages of his career and he told Sky Sports that his long-term future remains uncertain.
"Everybody that is affiliated with me knows that it has been a really frustrating season for me," he said.
"It started off well with me playing the first 14 games at Bristol City, but then the new gaffer came in.
"New managers always have their own ideas and players who they want to play, which is fair enough, but it didn't work out for me.
"That was the main reason why I decided to come out on loan and although getting the injury didn't helped, I've still managed to catch the latter stages of the season.
"I think that it is a bit of both really, with me able to impress whoever is watching, and then seeing what happens in the summer because you never know what is just around the corner.
"I'm confident in my ability, so if Derek McInnes wants me back at Bristol City then great, but if not I'll be looking to go elsewhere.
"I was here about ten years ago for a loan spell whilst I was breaking through the ranks as a kid at Charlton and although a lot has changed since then it is the still the same club.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time so far here and there is a great bunch of lads, with the managerial staff excellent with me as well.
"I actually played with the assistant manager Kevin Nugent during my first spell with the club, so there were a few familiar faces here anyway."
