Steve Morison hopes to have 'shut a few people up' with his dramatic equaliser in Norwich's 3-3 draw with Arsenal.
The Wales international struck late on at Emirates Stadium on Saturday to earn the Canaries a share of the spoils and end his barren run in front of goal.
His effort was his ninth of the season, but his first in 14 outings.
Morison came in for mounting criticism during his goal drought and is hoping to have silenced a few of his detractors with an important strike.
"Let's see how many people ring up 'Canary Call' today and say I'm the worst player to ever wear a Norwich shirt," he said.
"It was great to score, it shuts a few people up."
Grumbles
Morison joined Norwich from Millwall last summer and started the season in impressive form, netting eight times in his first 16 appearances.
The goals soon dried up, though, and he has become an easy target for certain sections of the Carrow Road support.
"It's amazing the things a few people say and the stories they make up, I suppose they need something to talk about," Morison added.
"You hear the grumbles and your frustration might get the better of you sometimes and you get the hump with it, but as soon as you get back with the lads or with your family, that's it.
"I couldn't care less if I am the worst player in the team if I score plenty of goals. You want to score goals that pick up points, and (on Saturday) I managed that.
"All we wanted at the start of the season was to make sure we'd be coming back to places like the Emirates Stadium next season, and that was guaranteed a few weeks ago, so now we're looking to finish the season on a reasonable high."
