Porto chief Pinto da Costa insists that their stance over Hulk has not changed and they do not want to sell him.
The Brazilian international is Porto's talisman, and has led them to consecutive titles in Portugal.
He has though been constantly linked with moves away from the Estadio do Dragao, with most of Europe's elite tracking him including Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
But he is contracted to the club until 2016 after signing a new deal last year, when Porto also bought another 40 per cent of his rights to take their total stake to 85 per cent and meaning they control his future.
Hulk also had a buy-out clause of £80million and Da Costa insists that is the amount any club would need to pay for him.
"I say today what I said a year ago, I will do everything to keep Hulk at Porto," he told
Porto TV.
"I'm not interested in selling him.
"Hulk has a price and we are not going to negotiate and accept an inferior price to that of his clause, our desire is for him to be in our squad next season."
Calm
He did though drop a hint that he could see a situation in which Hulk could leave, adding: "Hulk's situation also depends on a lot of business that is interconnected with other players."
Hulk and his agents have been less than committed over his future, and one of his representatives suggested over the weekend the time was right for him to move.
The player himself insists he is calm and is leaving things in the hands of those around him.
"My future is in the hands of Porto and my agent, now I do not say if I leave or I stay with the club," he said from Brazil.
"At this moment my only desire is to celebrate the league title success, to rest and think of the national team.
"I am calm as I have signed a deal for another four years anyway."
