Injured ace Steven Reid is confident of being up and running for the first week of pre-season training as he seeks to impress the new West Brom head coach.
The former Ireland international is currently working to a rehabilitation programme after damaging his ankle during the Baggies' 1-0 victory over Chelsea in early March.
And he is confident he will be fully fit for pre-season training, where he hopes to catch the eye of his new boss, whoever that may be after signing a fresh two-year deal in April.
"I'm in this week and next week to do some rehab and then hopefully after next week I'll be able to get away on holiday, where I'll be looking to have a rest," said Reid.
"I'll then do some more rehab when I get back and then hopefully I'll be up and running for the first week of pre-season in July.
"Come the summertime it's nice to get the holidays out the way, but it can become a bit boring when there's no footy going on.
"I'm hoping that I'll be up and running for when the new head coach gets in so I can begin looking to impress him. I'm still a couple of weeks away from being able to enter full training.
"I've been running now for the last couple of weeks, but now I need to start twisting and turning on it before we look to start with a football. It will be right for the first day of pre-season."
