Rhodes brace not enough for victory

A last-minute goal from striker Jordan Rhodes was not enough to secure victory for Scotland-Under 21s against Bulgaria in Lovech. The hosts rescued a dramatic point in the third minute of stoppage time to deny Billy Stark's side all three points in a 2-2 draw. Although Scotland were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in the end they still moved top of their European Championship qualifying group. Rhodes thought he had completed a memorable second-half comeback when he added to his earlier header to cancel out Georgi Milanov's opener with an excellent finish in the 90th minute. However, some slack defending after a corner allowed the home side to work the ball through for substitute Georgi Kostadinov to net in the third and final minute of injury-time.
