Striker happy to have the chance to join Crewe from Wrexham

Mathias Pogba is looking forward to the opportunity to play at a higher level following his move to Crewe Alexandra from Wrexham. The striker rejected a new deal with Conference club Wrexham in order to sign a two-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months, with Crewe on Friday. He is delighted to have the chance to play in League One next season and the 21-year-old believes he is ready to test himself outside the non-league ranks. "It is a great opportunity for me to come and join a good club like Crewe," Pogba told the club's official website. "My agent rang me to tell me that Crewe were interested in me and I knew that this would be the club for me. "I have spent time in the Conference and now I feel as though I am ready to make the step up. Having the chance to play in League One was the big factor for me because as a player you want to play as high as you possibly can. "I really enjoyed my time at Wrexham and they gave me a chance but I want to test myself at a higher level. "I managed to score goals for Wrexham and I want to do the same at Crewe. I can play anywhere across the front and have played on the wing in the past. I would describe myself as powerful and quick, and I like to score goals."
