Great Britain midfielder Aaron Ramsey is confident his best playing days are in front of him despite an impressive start to his career.
The Arsenal player is one of five Welshmen selected by Stuart Pearce for Team GB and is expected to play a key role in the Olympics.
An appearance would mark a remarkable rise from breaking into the first team at Cardiff as a teenager before making a £5million move to Arsenal and establishing himself on the domestic and European stage.
Ramsey has overcome 10 months on the sidelines after a career-threatening double leg fracture in a challenge by Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross in February 2010 but the 21-year-old is keen to look to the future.
"I have certainly done a lot so far in my short career, but I am delighted with how it's gone so far, apart from my injury," Ramsey said.
"I still think there is a lot more to come from me, but I am working hard and wanting to learn more every day to become the best player I can possibly become."
A Great Britain football team in London 2012 was met with mixed reception by the home nations but once given permission by his country, and club boss Arsene Wenger, Ramsey admitted the opportunity was too enticing to turn down.
He said: "It was down to us whether we wanted to play or not and we chose to play.
"For me, it's a unique thing and there's going to be some great countries with great players involved, so it's great to test yourself against them and we are looking forward to it.
"We are all proud to be Welsh and we are representing our country as well as Great Britain."
Team GB lost 2-0 to tournament favourites Brazil in their final warm-up game in Middlesbrough on Friday but open their Group A campaign at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
