Former Reds starlet set for move

Sky Sports understands former Liverpool starlet Florent Sinama-Pongolle is eyeing a move back to England. France international Pongolle is currently at Sporting Lisbon, but he has found himself out of favour at the Portuguese outfit. The 27-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Real Zaragoza and St Etienne and Sporting are thought to be willing to loan out Pongolle again or even allow him to leave on a free transfer. The news has alerted a number of clubs across Europe to the possible availability of the skilful forward. Pongolle's English representative, Neil Sang, has confirmed he is talking to several interested clubs about bringing the French ace back to the UK. "Florent is hoping to come back to England and Sporting are willing to let him go for free or on loan," Sang told skysports.com. "I am talking to a host of clubs about Florent and we will see what the best options open to Florent are." Pongolle joined Liverpool in 2001 along with Anthony Le Tallec from Le Havre and was regarded as one of the best young talents in France, but he found first-team chances limited at Anfield. He left Liverpool in 2006 for Recreativo in Spain where he finished top scorer in his two seasons there, before winning a move to Atletico Madrid and then switching to Sporting Lisbon a year later.
