Wigan midfielder James McArthur insists that the club are making real progress despite their opening day defeat to Chelsea. Roberto Martinez's side were beaten 2-0 at the DW Stadium but McArthur is confident progress is being made after they were thumped 6-0 by the same side just two years ago. "When you look at what happened against Chelsea here two seasons ago, it just shows you how far we've come since then," he told the club's official website. "Going two behind so early might have made people think 'here we go again', but we showed great mental strength and put them under pressure for the majority of the game. "We fought hard to get back in it and I thought we were the better team for 70 minutes. "It was just so frustrating that we didn't get anything from the game."
