Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels has been rocked by his third major injury blow of the season after losing goalkeeper Cammy Bell for up to 10 weeks.
The 25-year-old suffered a fractured wrist in his side's 2-1 defeat against Motherwell on Saturday.
Shiels has already seen the experienced Garry Hay undergo knee surgery and striker Paul Heffernan break his collarbone, but insists he must remain positive.
"It will give some of the other kids a chance to come in and do well," said Shiels.
"We have to be positive and we have Kyle Letheren and Anssi Jaakkola who are both more than capable. We'll replace him. It's as simple as that.
Disappointed
"I'm disappointed for Cammy because he would have been looking at a call-up for Scotland, with Allan McGregor injured.
"He hasn't had much luck on the international front. We've had three key players going in for operations in the last eight days; Paul Heffernan, Garry Hay and now Cammy.
"Sometimes you get periods like this, that's what squads are for."
Following the game, Bell said: "When I woke up the next morning I knew it wasn't right. I had it checked out by the physio and a scan showed a fracture. I felt I started the season well - and now this setback."
