Lennon feels Celtic striker needs to rediscover his sharpness

Celtic have confirmed Sierra Leone striker Mo Bangura has rejoined former club AIK Stockholm on loan until the end of December. Bangura signed a four-year contract with Celtic 12 months ago, but has struggled to repay the SPL champions' £2.2million investment on the pitch. The 23-year-old has failed to score in 16 appearances in all competitions and missed several months last season due to a knee injury. The forward, who featured as a substitute in Saturday's 4-2 win over Inverness, has now been allowed to spend the next few months back with AIK to build up his sharpness.

Expectation

"He is away back to Stockholm," said Celtic manager Neil Lennon. "He is still our player but he needs to play some football and get himself going again. "Possibly the expectation of the price tag weighs a little bit on younger players at times. "We know he is a talent but has been hampered by injuries. "He is fit now and we think it is a good time for him to go and play football and come back here a better player." Lennon admitted the club had expressed an interest in Auxerre defender Willy Boly and Rosenborg midfielder Markus Henriksen, but denied making a move for former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen.
