Fulham boss Martin Jol says the club will continue talking to Brede Hangeland over a new deal.

Norwegian yet to finalise new deal

Fulham boss Martin Jol says the club will continue talking to Brede Hangeland over a new deal. The 31-year-old Norwegian stopper is out of contract at the end of the season, but a new deal does not appear close. His agent stated in August that they were not near to a deal and Jol admits that nothing appears on the brink of conclusion with Hangeland - who has excelled since joining in 2008. "That will take a bit longer because we don't talk to him every day but there will be another appointment as we try to keep him here for the long term," he told the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle. "If that is not possible then we will try to keep him for the next two years."
