King looking to continue fruitful partnership for clash with big two

Hull City striker Marlon King is hoping team-mate Geovanni can inspire the Tigers to get results against the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United this week. The Premier League new boys sit third in the table, just three points behind leaders Liverpool, but this week sees them face two of their toughest games of the season in quick succession. The Tigers host Chelsea on Wednesday at the KC Stadium and then travel to Old Trafford on Saturday. Phil Brown's side will be able to draw on the experience of beating Arsenal and Tottenham on their travels this season and King believes Geovanni will be a key figure. He said: "Geovanni is a class act. He just buzzes off the front two. He is Brazilian and it doesn't take much to link up with him. "We have been impressed not just by Geo's goals but by his work-rate. He has caught on quickly and adapted quickly." Between them King and Geovanni have bagged seven goals this season, but King insists there is more to the partnership than just ability. He said: "It is not just about having ability, it is about working hard at Hull because we don't have the players Manchester United or Chelsea do."
