Norwich manager Alex Neil was left disappointed after his side threw away a 2-0 lead over West Ham to draw 2-2.

Norwich boss Alex Neil was left frustrated after his side threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with West Ham at Carrow Road.

Robbie Brady and Wes Hoolahan put the hosts 2-0 up in the early stages of the second-half but two goals in two minutes from Dimitri Payet and Mark Noble levelled it for the Hammers.

The draw leaves Norwich still in the Premier League relegation places and Neil has urged his side to see out games better in the future.

"It's disappointing," Neil told Sky Sports. "Certainly based on how we played in the game and the opportunities we had, we should have seen the game out and got the three points.

"At 2-0, once they score not long afterwards a bit of apprehension came in and you could see how much it means to the players to try and get the three points.

"Sometimes you just have to calm yourself down, play the game and not worry about picking points up at the end of it," he added. "You just have to focus on the match.

"There were times in the final stages where we needed to put our head on the ball, and times when we didn't.

The draw saw Norwich end a run of five straight Premier League defeats and despite losing a two goal advantage, Neil thinks his side can take a lot of positives from their performance.

He said: "It was a much better performance.

"We created more chances and it was a change of approach. It was more like the way we tried to attack the games at the start of the season.

"It was better and there were positives to take, but when we get ourselves into that situation we need to see it out."
