Demarai Gray admits he has found it difficult being restricted to a bit-part role for Leicester this season.
The winger impressed in the Foxes' 2-0 Premier League win at home to Stoke on Saturday, stretching the Potters' defence throughout the match.
But it was just the eighth start of the season for Gray, who is reportedly of interest to the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.
"It's been a very tough season for me, I've been in and out," he said.
"Just like any player I want to play but I've had to be patient, and any time I get my opportunity I want to impact and play well.
"I've got to be direct and lively and get the fans lively as well, I've got to keep doing what I'm doing. Everything is looking good now and hopefully we can keep our momentum and get more points."
Victory over Stoke meant boss Craig Shakespeare became the first Englishman to win his first four games in the Premier League.
The 53-year-old is in good company, joining Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink and Pep Guardiola as the only managers to achieve the feat.
Shakespeare said: "I'm very proud. You sometimes have to pinch yourself in terms of the names being mentioned.
"I'm at a very, very early stage in my management career but to be mentioned in the same breath as them makes me very proud.
"I realise there's a lot people to thank along the way, in terms of my previous managers when I've been an assistant but also the players."
